Harrisburg Real Estate
In the rural southwest corner of Cabarrus County is a town on the verge of a boom. Harrisburg was incorporated in 1973 and has a strong Scottish and Irish heritage from the early settlers of the 1700s. It is positioned in an area within close proximity to a major metropolitan city, and enough rural land surrounds the town to make it explode with economic and residential development. The real estate market in the Town of Harrisburg, encompassing roughly 2.1 square miles, is evidence of the greatness this small town offers.

Harrisburg Town Center offers the best selection in affordable condos and townhouses, including a community pool. The subdivision of Abbington has large lots, a community playground, swimming pool, tennis courts, and fitness trails. The new subdivision of Oak Hollow, with lots averaging 10-15 acres, is a private gated community.
The residents of Harrisburg, fewer than 5,500 people, are educating their children through the Cabarrus County School System, providing the highest in educational standards. A great new addition to Harrisburg was the grand opening of the Harrisburg YMCA in December 2006.
